Patients will appreciate the new compression system "μPress" allowing a correct and at the same time more comfortable compression as the descending compression paddle speed is in inverse relation to the compression force applied.

LILYUM BYM

The LILYUM is also available in BYM version fitted with isocentric C-arm that allows all breast projections without moving the patient and without adjusting the height of the C-arm.

With isocentric C-arm, LILYUM is upgradeable with the three dimensional biopsy device BYM 3D.

BYM 3D

BYM3D is a state of the art mammography automated biopsy device performing through microprocessor control the anatomic three-dimension localizations of the lesion and biopsy needle placement. The BYM 3D is composed of two parts.

1) Needle Placement Unit (NPU), comprising: - the needle placement support (different sizes of needles can be fitted) - the compression paddle with window for biopsy - the film holder

2) Processing Unit (PU), performing: - introduction of horizontal coordinates measured through a precision joystick on the two radiograms taken +/- 15 degrees - calculation and display of the final x, y, z space co-ordinates for automatic positioning of the needle placement support - indication of compression thickness and selection range for needle length
