The client is one of the largest automobile component manufacturers in India, with operations at multiple locations. Being a part of the largest companies, the client employs more than 4000 employees. With major global manufacturers of cars, trucks and tractors making India their sourcing hub for engine blocks the client is poised for a big leap into the export market. The client is the largest jobbing foundry in India with production capacity of 48000 MT of gray iron castings and 3000 MT of aluminum gravity die-castings. In addition, DCU capacity has currently increased to 24,000 MT. The company has a green field plant near Chennai with a capacity of 50000 tons / annum which will go on stream by mid 2007.
Project : The client implemented a standard ERP package, which did not cater to their Human Capital Management requirements.
Objectives: A versatile and a flexible HCM Solution, with scalability for the future growth of the company, was the client's requirement. The objective was to have a solution which would cater to all the Human Resource operations at the companies multiple locations and consolidating at the group level.
Solution: A comprehensive HCM Solution which is well connected with all the locations and divisions and integrated with Payroll management, Human Resource Management and Employee Self Service management.
