Interferential Therapy

We provide highly specialized Interferential Therapy IFT which is a low frequency current treatment that utilizes two medium frequency currents. These currents 'interfere' with each another to create a beat frequency that the body identifies as a low frequency energy source, which is usually 1-250Hz. The medium frequency currents interchange at 1000-100 000Hz. The low frequency causes high skin resistance and the medium frequency causes low skin resistance. The interferential equipment have one frequency fixed at 4000 Hz (generated by one pair of electrodes) and the other varies between 4000 Hz and 4200 Hz (second pair of electrodes). On selecting the variable frequency, a beat frequency between 0 and 200 Hz can be generated.
