Solid Co2 (Dry Ice)

The offered dry ice is used to keep the originality of seafoods intact for long period of time. Moreover, the dry ice is very cold and hence contact with bare skin should be avoided. Clients can easily avail the offered ice at competitive prices.

Dry Ice:

• Col-dry is SICGIL's trademark for solid carbon dioxide, commonly known as dry ice. Compared to normal ice, dry ice changes directly from a solid to a gas when it absorbs heat.
• Dry ice with the temperature of MINUS 78.4 º C, absorbs 573 kJ of heat per kg compared to 335 kJ per kg for water ice.

Products:

• Solid blocks weighing about 4 - 6 kg with the approximate dimensions 7" x 7" x 7"
• Bigger sizes of Dry ice blocks weighing more than 10 kg is also being made

• In-transit refrigeration of foods, ice cream, pharmaceuticals and other temperature-sensitive materials (like vaccines)

Safety:

• Intensely very cold and hence contact with bare skin should be avoided
• Carbon dioxide gas is heavier than air and is an ashyxiant - care should be taken to avoid accumulation at low levels or in confined spaces
• Col-dry must not be placed in tightly sealed containers. Sufficient care (ie) vents must be provided to allow the gas evolved to escape.
